Emergency Contacts

Please note that SWEDA does not operate an emergency service.  The team are out of the office between Friday 17th December and Tuesday 4th January; the phone will not be manned during this time. However, there is an answer phone if you would like to leave us a message.

If you would like to speak to someone regarding an Eating Disorder during the Christmas and New Year period, we will continue to operate our helpline on Tuesday evenings (8-11pm) and Sundays (including Boxing Day) (11am-2pm) on 0300 330 5464.

IN CASE OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY please call 999.

If you require support and you are unable to reach us, please try the following:

Community Mental Health Services

If you are already receiving support from mental health services you should have a care plan. This will include details of your local CMHT and who you should contact in a crisis.  If in doubt, contact your GP.

“Whenever I have contacted SWEDA, I have always received a very quick response, and have felt completely safe to ask for help when I have needed it. There have been periods of time when I have not needed a lot of contact, and times when I have asked for frequent contact. Talking to the same person over a long period of time has meant I have had a consistent place to go for support, and this has been invaluable."
