The demand for the services Somerset and Wessex Eating Disorders Association (SWEDA) provides is ever growing. Unlike many charities SWEDA does not hold investments but spends all of its funds on charitable purposes. There are a number of ways that you can support the activities SWEDA undertakes. Making
a Donation
You can make a one off donation by forwarding a cheque to SWEDA. You can also make one off donations along with regular dontations and join the 'Friends of SWEDA' using our Dontation leafet. We have a downloable version here:-
If you are not able to make a donation yourself perhaps you could pass the details on to a friend or colleague. Search the Web!
Increasingly companies like to support charities recommended and/or used by their employees. If your company has a charitable or community fund or a 'Give as you Earn' scheme, perhaps you could put SWEDA forward as a potential beneficiary. We are happy to provide additional information to support our case. Gifts in Kind Fundraising Events
Legacies and donations in lieu of flowers or gifts Join 'The
Friends of SWEDA' Scheme
Membership costs from as little as £10 per year. On joining, new members will receive a membership certificate, a pen and a carrier bag. All Friends of SWEDA will receive a regular newsletter. If you would like more details about joining "The Friends of SWEDA" take a look at our 'The Friends of SWEDA' page. We greatly appreciate any donation, big or small, which will help us continue to serve those affected by eating disorders. All donations and gifts in kind are acknowledged by a personal letter and "Thank You" lists which can be found on the website and printed annually in our Review. If you would like more information on any of the above, or to talk in great depth, email paula@swedauk.org or telephone 01458 448611, we would love to hear from you. Thank you for taking time to read our "Supporting SWEDA" page. |
