Using our site
It is our intention to make the SWEDA website a place where
people, whether sufferers or carers or indeed concerned parties of any
kind, can come for accurate information and support and hopefully reassurance
and inspiration too! SWEDA believes in, and practices, the principles
of 'Self Help', recognises the validity and great value of 'peer
support' and has an unshakeable belief that individuals experiencing
an eating disorder and those caring for them should be enabled to access
the tools and information that they feel they need in order to affect
their own recoveries, and to be supported and held during this process
and beyond.
We sincerely hope, therefore, that you will find our website both useful and supportive (and perhaps at times fun too) and that, should you wish too, you feel able to use it as a complementary part of whatever route to recovery you choose to travel.
