THE DYING DAYS OF VENUS

She moves between the curtains
Her shadow breathes like algebra
She sweeps coal dust from the fireplace
Whilst the embers bask in formula
The moon dreams up the twilight
As she walks back from the cinema
And everything she holds is known
To this Akashic nebula

She sits alone in wilderness
Counting tears in the wallpaper
The kitchen tastes of heaviness
Where darkness always stifles her
She seems to hide behind the mirror
Where the demons cannot see her
Fighting darkness without candle light
Encased in fear forever

She cannot see the Light Beings
Who always walk with her –
Holding clouds back, stopping traffic,
Watching through a camera
The seasons cease their onward tease
To stop the cold consuming her
But all she does is sink in anger
Ignoring all they offer her.

She waits alone in dark disgust
For death to overtake her
Inside her mind, she’s certain
That’s all they want from her
Beyond the veil, reunited
With those they took from her –
But they’ve moved on without her
Beyond the veils of ain soph aur,

She wastes her valuable time here,
With chat shows and soap opera
When all around her is beauty
Like the swirl of a sunflower
How can she expect to reach them
Without loving what they gave to her?
Her final years are drowned in apathy
Neglecting archangels and sephira.

I see her move away from me
Time floats back towards the stellar
She’s shrinking into to nothing
Perhaps another rebirth will save her
But those she loved have gone beyond
Following light and love and laughter
Leaving her alone with all her memories, Swept up with sad samsara.
