I’ve
just started running, so please keep me going . . .
I only recently started running hence the appeal to keep
me going . . .
Having heard the reputation of the Wells City Harriers and
the ‘running
sisters’ – with their promise to have you running 5k within 10
weeks, I thought I give it a go; having never run down the road before I was
sceptical to say the least!
Well I have
done the course, bought the shoes and invested in the
all important bra and I’m booked in to run my very
first race The Wells 5K fun Run on 25th May 2008 – Race
No 218 I can’t believe I’m
actually doing this so please support me and in turn help
SWEDA. You can download the Sponsorship Form here.

We've spent a lot of
time creating a virtual library of online eating disorders
leaflets, pamphlets, factsheet etc. from a wide variety
of sources, which we hope might form the foundation of
a useful online resource for those looking for information
about eating disorders. To have a look click here "Virtual
Library".

counties affected by eating disorders - anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa,
compulsive eating, binge eating disorder and all related eating disorders
- whether they are a sufferer themselves, someone caring for, or supporting,
a sufferer or anyone in any way affected by eating disorders. Our services

The 18-25
Project was
an externally funded project offering support to students (18-25) affected
by eating
disorders.
The Project offered a range of support including support
groups at universities including Bath, Bournemouth, Bristol and Exeter.
Although the Project has now formally ended, SWEDA continues to run
services at Bath and Bournemouth and the Project's MSN Messenger support.
18-25 Project materials have been
incorporated into the SWEDA
website. Some of the work of the 18-25 Project has been taken on by
SWEDA's new Schools Project. SWEDA itself
has taken up and expanded on some services and now runs eating
disorders support groups at Weston, Bridgwater and Yeovil colleges and
The Somerset College of Arts and Technology in Taunton as well as in the
University of Bournemouth (please note that the Bath group is no longer
running).
SWEDA can provide eating disorders training for students and teacher and
input
into
PHSE.
The Schools
Project
continues SWEDA's committment to helping
young people with eating disorders.
